A large party all had beer on taps and it was completely flat and lifeless. We didn’t finish the over priced drinks and got the heck out of there. Very expensive, full English, a sandwich, 2 coffees and a beer, 50 euros. Food was nice though just very expensive considering it’s a chain. I love European city breaks, nature, adventure, hiking to viewpoints, Yoga, and road trips. I watched as glasses with visible lip gloss marks were given to new customers. Another issue is the handling of ice. I saw the bartender repeatedly take cash payments and then use his bare hands to scoop ice into drinks. bulldog coffeeshop amsterdam If anyone doubts this, just grab a seat and watch for yourself. I love this place, but the hygiene needs serious improvement. This coffeeshop is located in the east of Amsterdam, far away from the touristy areas.

Very nice place,kind persons.Good coffee and quality of the weed. Prices were pretty inflated with “tourist tax” due to location and name recognition and there plenty of other options that are much more reasonable. Carlos and Marta were extremely helpful and hospitable.
Everything is dark varnished wood, and nothing is bright enough to hurt your eyes. The bulldog yellow and blue badge is on everything down to the beermats and there are plenty of products on offer. They are masters of branding – but we would like to see more options for consumer amusement while they are on premises.
That’s when we noticed there was an exact amount of 5€ charged extra. We told him this and he tried to sell us his big scheme deal. He told us that the beer we ordered was extra 2€ and that the menu was wrong. We told him that we don’t want to pay extra than what we had seen in the menu and that, even with the 2€ extra, we were paying for 5€. At this very moment the guy turned his back on us and said us that he wouldn’t do anything and that it is as it is.
